Curlew Crafts FAQ
The company is unable to respond to queries 24/7 so we have tried to answer some common questions here, to improve your visitor experience to the website.
What are your Opening Hours?
Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm GMT / BST
Orders are processed from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 2pm GMT / BST
Where are you based?
The Company is located in Edinburgh, Scotland, Britain.
Can I collect your products anywhere in Edinburgh?
If you message me in advance, customers can arrange to collect products at any of the Events the Company attend. In addition, I may arrange a pick up place in Edinburgh if there is a demand.
Do you do Markets, Events and Fairs?
I exhibit at Markets, Events and Fairs, and would be happy to discuss invitations to attend Events in Scotland, subject to the terms. To find out which events the company are exhibiting at, please check my Events page.
Do you offer International Shipping?
Curlew Crafts offers International Shipping (free to UK Customers). More information can be found in our Shipping Policy at the foot of this website.
Can I get a refund for my order?
Curlew Crafts 30 day Refund Policy covers all items except Bespoke products and those in the Reduced Collection. Full details can be found in the Refund Policy at the foot of this website. Any queries please contact info@curlew-crafts.co.uk.
How do I offer you some remnants from my textile company?
Any company in Scotland who would like to sell remnants to us should email info@curlew-crafts.co.uk to discuss the terms.
I am looking for a particular Tartan, can you help?
Because I use remnants from premier textile mills and kilt makers in Scotland, these beautiful Tartans are not identified when I get them. Although I could spend time searching the Scottish Register of Tartans in order to identify them, this would unfortunately add to the price. I have therefore opted to try selling them as unidentified, with no disrespect towards the heritage intended.
If you are looking for a particular Clan, District or Company Tartan, or would like to create your own Tartan, it is best to deal with the suppliers or kilt makers directly. I am more than happy to recommend some of the best companies and makers.
Do you do sewing commissions?
I do Bespoke sustainable Wreaths for Clans, Gatherings, special occasions or Weddings from £95 inc materials, labour, care instructions and storage box (plus postage outside of the UK). To commission a Wreath, please contact info@curlew-crafts.co.uk and I would be happy to discuss Tartans, colour palettes, timescales and prices with you.
Do you supply Business to Business?
Presently I only supply businesses in Scotland as my products are made in small runs which are dependent on my own suppliers. I don't have the margins, the capacity or the business model for larger scale supply. If any businesses in Scotland or any of my suppliers, offer to stock my products, I would be happy to discuss that with them individually.
Do you advertise your company?
I am more inclined to attend Fairs and Markets to build the Curlew Crafts brand, but this may change.
Are you open to Growth Collaborations?
Curlew Crafts' green business model means that product runs are short, and designs are constantly changing, so targeting a market which the company cannot satisfy would be unrealistic. Because of the ethical way my materials are sourced, offers to transform me into a large corporation are not a good fit.
Can I offer you Business / Tech support?
I already have good business and technical support.

If you have any other questions, please email info@curlew-crafts.co.uk or use my contact form. Thank you for visiting.
